Dr. Hanley has over 25 years of experience working with children,
families, and adults and is herself the parent of a teenager. She uses
a compassionate, practical, problem-solving approach with clients,
based on
empirically sound cognitive-behavioral skills and strategies, as well
as other therapy approaches tailored to the particular client(s). Her
approach when working with adolescents and adults is a collaborative
one, involving developing relationships both with her primary client or
clients as well as with other relevant family members, other health care providers, and/or school
personnel as indicated by the needs of the client. Dr. Hanley is also
committed to the "clients as consumers" model, providing clients with
resources such as reading materials, websites, and other educational
materials relevant to their needs.
