Assessment and Treatment of Adolescents and Adults

Dr. Hanley has over 25 years of experience working with children, families, and adults and is herself the parent of a teenager. She uses a compassionate, practical, problem-solving approach with clients, based on empirically sound cognitive-behavioral skills and strategies, as well as other therapy approaches tailored to the particular client(s). Her approach when working with adolescents and adults is a collaborative one, involving developing relationships both with her primary client or clients as well as with other relevant family members, other health care providers, and/or school personnel as indicated by the needs of the client. Dr. Hanley is also committed to the "clients as consumers" model, providing clients with resources such as reading materials, websites, and other educational materials relevant to their needs.
